Kilian Förster earned his Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Ilmenau focusing mainly on communication systems and digital signal processing. He also earned a Master of Engineering Studies degree form the University of Auckland specializing on embedded and digital systems.
In 2011 he finished his PhD in the Wearable Computing Group of the Electronics Laboratory at ETH Zurich.
