Martin is a researcher in the areas of wearable computing and machine learning. He received the Master's degree with distinction in 2007, and his PhD in 2012, both from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. His thesis on chewing sequence analysis won the ETH medal. Before joining ETH Zurich, he spent 6 months in the Toshiba Corporate R&D Center in Kawasaki, Japan, where he worked on color quantisation algorithms for an automotive image processing LSI.
Research Interests
- Topics in machine learning, wearable and physiological computing.
